Overview

Responsible for performing credit analysis and related support for agricultural and commercial credits as well as assisting in various pre-underwriting and post-underwriting functions. Provides administrative assistance for all lending officers in assigned market. Maintains customer loan documentation, handles customer reports and assists in servicing existing loan accounts.

Responsibilities

    • Spreads financial information using Web Equity, the bank’s commercial credit analysis software, as needed.
    • Prepares annual credit reviews for existing customers. The reviews would include financial analysis of tax returns, company prepared statements and audits along with any changes that may have occurred since the previous review.
    • Prepares loan reviews for existing customers to monitor the credit worthiness, collateral position and loss mitigation of existing customers.
    • Prepare loan presentations for use by lending officers or committees to make lending decisions on new credit approvals and renewals
    • Works with lenders to assess total risk pertaining to requests for new or additional credit by new or existing customers, primarily through the analysis of financial statements and credit history.
    • Analyze industry trends which may or may not raise potential concerns.
    • Inputs, updates, and reviews data/reports from the document imaging system.
    • May also perform scanning of documents and quality control review of scanned documents.
    • Services loan customers' existing loan account relationships:
    • Processes draw requests
    • Takes payments
    • Assists the customer in signing documents
    • Handles payoff requests
    • Processes loan verifications
    • Runs credit reports
    • Requests title opinions
    • Assists officers with compliance and policy requirements
    • Uses Microsoft Office to perform a variety of administrative duties including:
    • Preparation of letters and correspondence
    • Preparation of various notifications
    • Preparation of memos, emails, and various internal correspondence
    • Designs, maintains, and pulls reports and forms using Excel and Director.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred plus 1-3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, thorough understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
