Overview

Credit Administion Specialist

 

Is responsible for fulfilling and assisting with operational procedural functions relating to the Credit Administration Department. Partners with credit personnel to build and maintain pre-defined and ad-hoc reports according to identified needs. Maintains the knowledge and ability of all systems and processes within Credit Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports for credit administration functions.
  • Maintains and improves existing processes, while maintaining credit – risk controls to improve department efficiencies and customer service.
  • Maintains a high level of competency of accounting and portfolio management applications and lend administrative support to credit department.
  • Monitors portfolio to ensure that it is in compliance. Stays current on all applicable government lending guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Performs the calculation of the allowance for Loan Loss Reserve and presents to the Vice President, Credit Administration for review.
  • Responsible for the completion and tracking of the troubled debt restructure audit as determined.
  • Monitors and provides monthly reports on stress testing, and any additional requirements for all watch, special mention and substandard assets.
  • Performs portfolio concentration analysis.
  • Makes formal presentations to credit administration on occasion as directed by the Vice President, Credit Administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred;
  • or 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training in commercial lending, commercial loan credit analyst, or regulatory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
