  • Overview

    Provides a variety of administrative and internal service support for the Human Resource Officers and staff, including the Payroll and Learning & Development team.

    Responsibilities

    • Assists HR recruiters with employment process as needed:
    • Posts positions on the website utilizing the iCIMS system and various resources upon request
    • Carries out detailed policies/procedures for daily HR activities
    • Assists with a variety of pre-employment background and reference checks
    • Assists with pulling consumer credit reports for applicants and following FRCA procedures
    • May assist with interviewing and hiring entry level positions during busy times

     

    • Provides administrative support for MidWestOne’s HR database including:
      • CheckPointHR (HRIS) updates including scanning documents, files, and indexing
      • and payroll checkback assistance
      • SaaSHR (timekeeping site) updates
      • iCIMS (recruiting site)- post and take down jobs, update hiring managers, input employment information for hired candidates
      • Insperity (Performance Review site) data uploads
        • Follow up emails for past due reviews
      • Predictive Index: emails PI surveys and PROs  
      • OneStop (Company Intranet) employee updates
      • Updates for benefit providers and third party HR vendors [American Trust, Iowa Bankers, MetLife, Sun Life]
      • May assist with payroll checkback and support
      • Creates and sends internal routing checklists
      • Handles various operational procedures for new employees and terminating employees

     

    • Runs, prepares, and develops requested reports including Exit Interviews, Business Continuity, Overtime, and a variety of other personnel related reports
    • Handles other office requests such as faxes, copies, filing and general correspondence for department team members.
    • Assists with a variety of employment verifications internally and externally

     

    • Handles a variety of HR Department operational duties:
      • Maintains employee wellness trackers
      • Orders name plates and creates name tags for employees.
      • Orders baby blankets and prepares for giving.
      • Assists new employees with ordering MWO apparel
      • Orders and maintains office supplies

    Qualifications

    Post high school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and related work experience

    Prefer 1-3 years of experience in human resources or a professional business office environment.   Banking experience is a plus.
