Sell new business to ensure continued profitable growth according to specific goals. Prospect for new clients, sell additional coverages to existing clients, and retain existing accounts. This position will focus on Personal Lines and Life insurance, but may include small Commercial and Ag.
Is responsible for overall customer service care for insurance customers including the opening and servicing of accounts, and referring other products and services to appropriate banking personnel. Must obtain state licenses for all insurance products to be sold. Call on prospects and sell new policies, call on existing clients, seek referrals. Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers required.
Product knowledge, college degree preferred. 3-5 years of prior sales/production and marketing/underwriting experience, in an agency or company setting. Excellent communication skills essential. Experience with TAM On-line Agency Management system would be helpful. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
License required. API, AAI, ARM, CIC, or CPCU completion essential.
A proven proactive-sales personality, work ethic and attitude with one to two years of direct sales experience in the financial services industry is required. Ability to source new business leads and follow-through to the sale is expected.
