  • Overview

    Develop and maintain account relationships with new and existing customers through actively promoting and selling bank products and services. Spends majority of time establishing deposit accounts and retail services, resolving complaints and concerns related to these, and making appropriate referrals to other business lines.  Will conduct banking transactions as needed. Performs in a leadership role to assist less experienced staff in their development or to meet and resolve customer needs. Provides assistance with branch operations and proactive customer outreach initiatives and participates in community events. May fill in at various locations at direction of Regional Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Identifies needs for retail customers by asking open ended questions to recommend appropriate accounts and services and performs necessary tasks to establish and/or update them as needed
    • Identifies opportunities for referrals to other business lines and makes introduction to the employee
    • Participates in customer outreach programs and campaigns
    • Actively uses bank technology and resources to track service and sales activities
    • Assists with establishing and updating basic fiduciary and business ownership accounts
    • Assists with branch operations and scheduling (ie. audits, certification duties, balancing requirements, assigning daily duties and confirming completion, creating weekly schedules, etc)
    • Embraces leadership opportunities within the branch by
      • Assisting with new employee training, including development of service and referral skills
      • Providing overrides and assistance with difficult customer situations
      • Proactively learning about new services and changes to existing processes and services and then assisting other associates with accepting and transitioning through the change
    • May provide support and act as a backup for banking transactions and will adhere to all processing and balancing requirements
    • May assist less experienced staff with banking transactions and is accountable for overrides processed with those transactions
    • Actively participates in community events to demonstrate support for MWO culture
    • Performs other responsibilities based on branch traffic and needs

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
